Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan is the hottest topic of discussion in trade circles at this point in time. Every single investigative reporter is on the lookout for updates on Jawan as Shah Rukh Khan fans on social media have been constantly on the lookout for the new date update. The team on Friday morning had locked August 25 as the release date and was set to announce it on Friday evening. But it seems that Shah Rukh Khan has devised an altogether new plan now.

The latest source informs us that Jawan has been delayed further and will now be a mid-September release. According to our source, Shah Rukh Khan has informed Atlee about his decision to bring the film in September 2023, to get a clear run till the release of Salaar.

The change of date was decided on Friday evening in order to maintain a proper gap between Jawan and Animal. "Shah Rukh Khan wants to come in a clear window and not be one of the many in the crowd. He is a lion by heart and wants things to be in his focus. He believes September will do justice to the release of Jawan," the source informed Bollywood Hungama.

Jawan is directed by Atlee and stars Shah Rukh Khan with Nayanthara, and Vijay Sethupati.

The last major controversy of 2022 was regarding the statement of Prasoon Joshi over Pathaan. The chairperson of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) admitted that the film has undergone cuts as per the rulebook.

Bollywood Hungama has now learnt about the cut list in the film. The examining committee asked for more than 10 cuts, most of which are related to the dialogues. In two places, the word 'RAW' was replaced with 'Hamare' as per the context. 'Langde Lulle' was replaced by 'Toote Foote'. The word 'PMO' was removed while in 13 places, 'PM' was replaced either by President or Minister.

Then, 'Ashok Chakra' was removed and it was replaced by 'Veer Puraskar', 'ex-KGB' with 'ex-SBU' and 'Mrs Bharatmata' with 'Hamari Bharatmata'. In the dialogue 'Isse sasti scotch nahin mili', 'scotch' was replaced by 'drink'. Then a change was made in the text that appears at one point in the film whereby 'Black Prison, Russia' was replaced by 'Black Prison'.

Finally, three changes were made in the song 'Besharam Rang'. The close up shot of buttocks, 'side pose (partial nudity)' shots and visuals of sensuous dance movements during the lyrics 'Bahut tang kiya' were removed or curtailed and replaced with 'suitable shots'. The CBFC cut list, however, doesn't mention how many seconds of shots have been censored. Also it is not clear whether or not the shots of the orange swimsuit, that led to an uproar, have been retained.

After these changes were made, the CBFC granted the censor certificate to the makers of Pathaan on January 2. The film secured a U/A certificate and its length, as mentioned on the certificate, is 146 minutes. In other words, Pathaan is 2 hours and 26 minutes long.

Produced by Aditya Chopra's Yash Raj Films, Pathaan stars Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. It is directed by Siddharth Anand and releases on January 25, 2023.

Venturing into a new genre, the Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal seems to be garnering ample attention as fans cannot wait to see the actor in a brand new avatar. While his look and the details of the film are being kept under wraps, filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga, T-Series and the entire team of Animal decided to give a sneak peek into it as we gear up to enter a new year. Right before midnight, the makers unveiled the first look of the Rashmika Mandanna starrer on social media.

Just a day ago, makers had taken to Instagram to make an announcement that the film’s first look will be released on December 31. Keeping up with their promise, before the clock strikes 12, the makers posted the first look of Animal featuring Ranbir Kapoor and the intense poster definitely seems to be creating waves.

For the unversed, Animal is expected to a gangster drama that also brings together Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna for the first time. It also has Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Tripti Dimri, playing pivotal roles. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, producer and head honcho of T-Series, Bhushan Kumar had spoken about the film saying, “Animal has heroism, songs, real dialogue-baazi, and father-son emotion. Just like you saw how KGF: Chapter 2 had mother's emotion, and action, this one will have action, songs, a big-looking film, everything is there with a great star cast. So, there isn't pressure with the movie but more confidence that film can become a huge one.”

Animal is expected to be shot in Mumbai and is slated to release on August 11, 2023 in multiple languages including Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Telugu.

News about Aamir Khan's upcoming project Champions has been doing the rounds for a while. Aamir Khan recently made few revelations about Champions during his childhood friend's event in Delhi.

Aamir Khan was recently in the capital city and shared an exciting update about Champions. The actor expressed his thoughts about being in the Producer’s chair for this specific film.

“It's a wonderful script, it's a beautiful story, and it’s a very heartwarming and lovely film but I feel I want to take a break,” Aamir said. “I want to be with my family, I want to be with my mom and my kids. I will be producing 'Champions' because I really believe in the film, I think it’s a great story."

The said film is the official remake of the Spanish film Campeones. Campeones meaning Champions is a sports comedy-drama set against the backdrop of basketball where an arrogant coach is forced to do community service and train a team with developmental disabilities.

Campeones starred Javier Gutierrez, Jose de Luna, Gloria Ramos, Roberto Chinchilla, Athenea Mata, Luisa Gavasa, Mariano Llorente, Daniel Freire, and Juan Margallo. It was directed by Javier Fesser. The film was the biggest national box office hit of the year.

Meanwhile, the Hindi remake Champions will be co-produced by Aamir Khan Productions along with Sony Pictures International Productions, India, and 200NotOut Productions.

Following the recent tragic events in Itaewon, multiple South Korean celebrities are canceling and postponing their scheduled promotional activities for the next few days.

Halloween celebrations turned deadly in South Korea’s Itaewon. It was reported that a crowd crush led to the death of 154 people, of whom 26 were foreign nationals and 132 were injured as per updates on Sunday, according to Korea Herald. An estimate of 100,000 people was expected to be in attendance on Saturday night in Itaewon.

In the narrow alley, around 10:40 pm, the crowd began to surge leaving people stuck there for over one and a half hours. This led to suffocation in the tight space. Videos and photos went viral on social media in which people and first responders were giving CPR on the spot to people who were unresponsive and went into cardiac arrest. Maximum fatalities were those of people in their 20s.

In light of the tragic events, BTS' Jin’s debut appearance on SBS’ reality show Running Man, which was scheduled for October 30, has now been cancelled. SBS announced the cancelation of his episode by issuing an official statement and asked for fans’ understanding.

Yong Jun Hyung's EP titled Loner, whose virtual tracks and physical album were both scheduled to be released on Sunday and Monday respectively, have now been delayed. Moreover, newly released films Remember and Confession canceled the appearance of cast members and directors at theaters to greet audiences.

Initially, Nam Joo Hyuk, Lee Sung Min, and director Lee Il Hyung were scheduled to participate in the event for Remember, while So Ji Sub, Kim Yoon Jin, Nana, and director Yoon Jong Sik were scheduled to participate for Confession. South Korean band BTS’ member Jin was spotted at the international airport on Monday morning while leaving for Buenos Aires, Argentina to perform his solo single ‘The Astronaut’ at the Coldplay concert on October 28.

On the morning of October 24, Jin arrived at the Seoul airport to leave for Argentina where he is set to perform his new single alongside the British band Coldplay. The pop singer looked dapper in Louis Vuitton holding a plushie of Wootteo which is his mascot for his solo promotions.

Jin and Coldplay will perform ‘The Astronaut’ live together for the first time. The concert will take place at Buenos Aires’ River Plate Stadium on October 28 (local time). A live cinema broadcast of the concert will be available worldwide. The live performance of the song will also be available to watch on BTS’ official YouTube channel after the concert ends. ‘The Astronaut,’ co-written by Jin and Coldplay, is set to be released at midnight ET on October 28.

Meanwhile, BTS’ youngest member Jungkook was also spotted at the Seoul airport, the same morning, as he was flying with a chartered aircraft to Qatar for promoting the 2022 FIFA World Cup. He was spotted in casuals paired with glasses and greeting his fans and reporters.

In an interesting development, Pachinko actress Kim Minha will be seen collaborating with South Korean popstar Doyoung of the K-pop group NCT. The track is titled ‘Fallin’.  It will be released towards the end of October.

Earlier this year, Kim Minha made her lead role appearance in the Apple TV+ trilingual series Pachinko. Epic in scope and intimate in tone, the story begins with forbidden love and crescendos into a saga that journeys between Korea, Japan, and America to tell an unforgettable story of war and peace, love and loss, triumph and reckoning. The series premiered globally on Apple TV+ on March 25, 2022. The series is based on the acclaimed New York Times bestselling novel by the same name and is created by Soo Hugh.

Meanwhile, Doyoung’s group NCT 127 dropped their new album 2 Baddies dropped on September 16, 2022.  In 2021, he starred in the television drama Midnight Cafe Season 3 -The Curious Stalker and appeared in the musical Marie Antoinette. On October 1, Doyoung released the soundtrack song ‘Like a Star’ for the drama Yumi's Cells.

South Korean singer actress Hani, member of female pop group EXID, is confirmed to star in new Coupang Play series titled Fantasy Spot. The drama is currently slated to premiere sometime later this year. According to Korean tabloid Soompi, Fantasy Spot will tell the story of women in their twenties who want to “live properly” and “feel properly.”

On September 30, Hani’s agency Sublime Artist Agency officially announced, “Actress Ahn Heeyeon [Hani’s given name] has been cast in Coupang Play’s series ‘Fantasy Spot.’”

The statement continued, “Following the wide variety of roles she’s played in her projects up until now, she is preparing to make yet another new and different transformation, so please give her lots of anticipation and love.”

Per the report, Hani will star as Son Hee Jae, a young, warm-hearted woman who wants to get to know and understand herself properly. When she unexpectedly winds up in charge of a podcast, she finds herself changing as she contemplates love once again. Fantasy Spot is currently slated to premiere before the end of 2022.

Television show Sirf Tum, which was launched in November last year, and moved to the OTT platform of the channel earlier this month, is all set to wind up. The shoot of the show, which features Eisha Singh and Vivian Dsena in lead roles, will wrap up in a week’s time and the last episode will be streamed on September 16. Sirf Tum marked Vivian’s return to daily soaps two years after Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki went off air.

Speaking about Sirf Tum going off air, Vivian confirmed, “Yes, the show is winding up on September 16. Everything in life must come to an end and according to my own life experiences, some endings are for the better. Over the years, I have understood that not everything happens the way we want or expect. Life is a roller-coaster ride, full of adventures and experiences and the best of experiences are the ones that teach you good lessons for the future.”

The actor also revealed that he felt a special connection with his character Ranveer in Sirf Tum. He added, “Everything aside, Ranveer will always be special to me. I have put my heart into it. The character is multi-shaded and it feels like some part of him was left undiscovered. People may not know but I started manifesting this character and preparing for it more than a year before the inception of the show. The makers got inspired by me while envisaging this character and also, the fact that both Ranveer and I are often misunderstood for our actions. But if you look deeper, you will see our reasons and targets are right at the end.”

Sirf Tum revolves around Ranveer and Suhaani played by Eisha Singh as fate constantly plays a game of uniting and separating them. The show used to air on Colors channel and it has now shifted to its OTT channel, Voot.

After being in the making for over seven years, the first part of Ayan Mukerji’s magnum opus Brahmastra released last week to a good response from moviegoers. The film has been in news for multiple reasons including the fact that it brings together real-life married couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt for the first time. Nagarjuna, who plays an integral role in the film, spoke about the immense response he has been garnering for the mythological fantasy drama, but he also opened up about the failure of Aamir Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha which marked the Bollywood debut of his son Naga Chaitanya.

Naga Chaitanya played the role of Aamir’s best friend in Laal Singh Chaddha, a remake of the Oscar winning American drama Forrest Gump. While the film opened to a very low business, it was also criticized by several communities and groups for its plot line. Speaking about it, in an interview with PTI, Nagarjuna said, “It is a bittersweet moment. I wish it had worked good. But it happens, it is an experience." He also recalled the advice he had given his son when he was signed on for the project saying, "When Chai told me he was doing this Forrest Gump remake, I told him don't expect to be recognized as a star. This will show you as an actor. And Chai said, 'I want to be known as an actor also.”

He went on to add about how despite the great performance of Brahmastra and low performance of Laal Singh Chaddha, they celebrate all kinds of cinema at their household. "We all cheer for each other. We all have a get together on the day of the release. Whatever happens we have dinner and we all toast to that movie. There is a bittersweet moment every year. Now, it is coming every six months," he concluded.

Talking about Brahmastra, it also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy along with Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Nagarjuna. Based on the concept of Indian mythology, the fantasy action drama released on September 9 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

Arjun Bijlani, who is one of the most popular actors on television, recently celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi and in his post, he also revealed that he has shifted to a new residence. While he has been enjoying the luxuries of his new home, on the work front, he is seen hosting the popular weekly show Ravivaar with Star Parivaar. In fact, during a recent episode, the actor turned a singer from being a host on the show. Arjun tried his hands at singing recently and recorded one of his most favourite songs, ‘Yaaron’ which is originally sung by the late KK.

Speaking about it recently, Arjun Bijlani said," This was my first ever song that was recorded. I have been singing the song ‘Yaaron’ by KK from a very young age. It's my favorite song and it was a nostalgic feeling. I feel after that, I got to know that I am going to record this song.” When asked if he ever thought of giving singing a chance, he shared, “I always loved singing and my friends and family have watched me singing Karaoke with my mother. I never thought of becoming a singer but now why not."

"If ever I get to host a singing reality show I would love to be a part of it,'' he concluded.

Besides the multiple shows on television, Arjun Bijlani was recently also seen in his popular web show Roohaniyat opposite Kanika Mann. The show is a romantic drama and is currently in its second season. If reports are to be believed, the makers are also considering a third season.

On the other hand, talking about Ravivaar With Star Parivaar, the show airs every Sunday on Star Plus and features onscreen families from the popular shows on the channel as they fight it out to win the war of music.

The much talked about and keenly anticipated Ranbir Kapoor – Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra hit screens yesterday. Directed by Ayan Mukherji the film which hit over 5,000 screens in India has been doing rather well. In fact, Brahmastra enjoyed a massive rate of advance bookings for its first three days with the audience booking seats almost a week before its release. Now, we hear that despite the wide screen count and the multiple languages the audience can’t seem to get enough. In fact, after Delhi, certain theatres in Mumbai will now be featuring round-the-clock shows of Brahmastra.

Interestingly, while conventional releases feature shows as early as 8 AM, after the success and audience demand for tickets of Brahmastra certain theatres like PVR Icon in Goregaon, PVR City Mall in Andheri, PVR Lodha Xperia, and a few other locations will feature round the clock shows. As per reports, these locations will feature shows starting as early as 1.30 AM and continuing with shows ending with the last one at 11 PM. While this certainly bodes well for the film’s business, it is interesting to notice that despite the odd timing audience still seems to be booking their seats. This implementation of round-the-clock shows in Mumbai comes after theatre owners in Delhi achieved success with this format. Given the fact that the craze for the film is high, and the audience seems to be booking tickets for nearly every show it comes as no surprise.

As for the film itself, Brahmastra, which also features Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy with special appearances from Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone continues its run at the box office. After grossing Rs. 75 cr. worldwide on its first day the business of the film is expected to see a further increase on its first Saturday and Sunday.
