Data science and analytics job offers trump IT services during phase I of IIT-M placements

While core engineering constituted the largest percentage of placements with 42% of the job offers coming from the sector, data science and analytics which took up 19% while IT stood at 18%. Other sectors like financial services, management and research and development contributed less than 10% of the total placements, IIT-M said in a statement on Monday.
