Ranvir Shorey says he contracted Coronavirus because he was careless with hand hygiene

Ranvir Shorey had recently taken to his social media to announce that he has contacted COVID-19. The actor is not the first one to contract it but has been maintaining all the precautions required to cure it just like the others. Maharashtra has recently seen a major spike in cases and the number has been increasing more and more by each passing day. Speaking to another portal, Ranvir Shorey informed how he contracted COVID-19 due to his carelessness.

The actor said that he contracted it via his eyes because he wasn’t careful about the hand hygiene during makeup and it happened on the sets. What he thought was conjunctivitis turned out to be Coronavirus and he blames himself for it. The actor has been taking all the necessary precautions and has not left his room in over a week. He said that he has a 91-year-old father at his place and he has sent his son to his ex-wife Konkana Sen Sharma. Ranvir Shorey further said that he has managed to keep his guard up at all times now and has been taking the medicines prescribed by the doctor, another four days and he should be cured.

Ranvir also mentioned how people have become careless with the basic precautions after the vaccine was launched. On speaking about how he got diagnosed he said that he had read somewhere that conjunctivitis could be a symptom and got himself tested. Other symptoms like nasal blockage, lung wheezing, and body pain were also present, he considers himself lucky to have gotten away with a mild strain of the virus.
