It has been twenty years since the film Mohabbatein released. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Kim Sharma, Uday Chopra, Shamita Shetty, Jimmy Shergill, Jugal Hansraj and Preeti Jhangiani in pivotal roles. The film directed by Aditya Chopra was one of the best romantic films of its time.

As the film marks 20 years, Amitabh Bachchan who played the role of Narayan Shankar, the strict principal of Gurukul took to his social media handle to mark the occasion. His character believed in bringing the best out of his students by emphasizing on "Pratishta, Parampara and Anushasan" (Honour, tradition, and discipline). Bachchan took to his social media handle and shared a glimpse from the film and wrote, "Parampara, Pratishtha, Anushasan .. Mohabbatein is special for many reasons .. 20 years of this beautiful love story, a roller coaster of emotions. Eternally grateful for all the love you continue to shower."

The film marked Aditya Chopra's second directorial venture after the massive success of his debut with Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenge. It was the first time that Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan shared screens.
